performance at the Dnote

We had our performance at the Dnote in Arvada, Colorado yesterday. It was different for us as we were not playing to a pagan crowd. When we played our song BloodMoon, everyone stopped talking and all eyes were on us, it was a very powerful feeling to have 70+ pairs of eyes focus on us...every word was heard. just in case you didn't know..

I wanted to share with everyone some information regarding our song March of the Fairies and other information...

There are two instruments you may not know what they are...lol The main instrument you hear, most think is a violin, however it is a Bowed Psaltry. It was a very special instrument given to me by a dear friend when my mama passed away to help me get through the grief. I didn't know how to play it then, but have I have come a long way with it...it is an amazing instrument.

About Heartbeat

Heartbeat -- The one time recital band that became so much more…

Heartbeat was created to showcase Brandon Witte, our 16 year old drummer, for his first drum recital. Our then 16 year old drummer had just received his first drum kit for Yule 2008 and began taking lessons with Jeffrey Kennison. Jeffrey was planning a drum recital for all of his students at the D-note just 3 months after Brandon’s lessons began, and invited us to put together something to showcase what Brandon was learning.
